Dry needling is a treatment that targets trigger points, typically associated with myofascial pain (muscle-related pain). Trigger points are small, tight knots in muscles that can cause local or referred pain, often due to poor posture, overuse, or stress. By inserting a fine needle into these points, the muscle relaxes quickly and for a prolonged period.

Dry needling is performed using a thin, sterile needle. Piercing the skin is almost painless, but when the trigger point is reached, the muscle may briefly contract - a short “cramp-like” sensation. Afterwards, the muscle relaxes, often providing immediate relief and greater mobility. The treated area may feel slightly sore or tired for a short time after the session.
