Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy

One of the specialised treatment methods offered at our practice is manual therapy. This therapy focuses specifically on improving the function of joints, muscles, and nerves through precise, hands-on techniques. Manual therapy is particularly suitable for people experiencing persistent or recurring musculoskeletal problems - especially in the back and neck.

Manual therapy is a specialised branch of physiotherapy that focuses on assessing and treating functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The manual therapist uses specific techniques such as mobilisations and manipulations, complemented by exercise therapy and advice on posture and movement.

These techniques aim to:

  • Improve joint mobility
  • Normalise muscle tension
  • Reduce pain
  • Enhance overall freedom of movement

During a session, treatment is not limited to the local area - the therapist also considers the body as a whole. Often, a complaint results from an imbalance or interaction between several structures.
